Since the very beginning of Slade's Funeral Homes, our commitment to provide exceptional comfort and care to families in their time of need is our utmost priority.

During these exceptionally difficult times, we at Slade's Funeral Home are exercising ways to ensure public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our trusted staff will be implementing the following regulations in conjunction with the Government of Newfoundland & Labrador in co-ordination with the Embalmers & Funeral Directors Board of Newfoundland & Labrador:

  • Funeral arrangements are advised to be made by telephone or email or some other electronic means.

  • Visitations & funerals are for immediate family only. (Maximum of 10 people, including clergy & funeral directors).

  • Persons who traveled outside the Province within the last 14 days will not be permitted to attend the visitation or funeral service.

  •  Persons who are infected by the COVID-19 Virus or who have been in contact with someone who has been infected, will not be permitted to attend the visitation or funeral service.

  • Encourage persons who are immune- compromised to stay at home and not attend the visitation or funeral service.

  • Regular sanitizing of our facilities beyond our routine cleaning practices.

  • Signage posted throughout our facilities indicates the need to avoid hand shaking and close personal contact.

  • Signage posted throughout our facilities advising of proper hand washing practices.

  • Our kitchen area is closed, and there is to be NO food or beverages brought to the funeral home at this time.

We greatly appreciate your continued support and understanding as we endeavor to keep your family, the general public and our staff safe.
