Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Carbonear General Hospital, Mary R. Lynch, age 92 of Spoon Cove, Upper Island Cove.


Predeceased by her loving husband, David K. Lynch (Sailor Dave); her parents: Ambrose & Anastasia Sharpe; one sister: Maude Sharpe; three brothers: George, Ambrose & William; son-in-law: Clayton Roberts, Sr.; grandson: Clayton Roberts, Jr.; sisters-in-law: Emma & Gertie Sharpe and brother-in-law: Michael Peckford. Left to mourn: four daughters: Emmie Roberts, Spaniard’s Bay, Millicent (Bob) Parsons, Upper Island Cove, Rosalind (Wayne) McCarthy, Harbour Grace and Clara Lynch, Upper Island Cove; two sons: Philip (Florence) Lynch, Fort McMurray, Alberta and Ted (Brenda) Lynch, Upper Island Cove; two sisters: Eliza (Henry) Mercer and Clara Peckford, and one brother: Levi, all of Upper Island Cove, three sisters-in-law: Annie and Julie Sharpe, both of Upper Island Cove and Muriel Lynch of Ajax, Ontario, thirteen grandchildren and a large number of great grandchildren as well as a large circle of relatives and friends especially her long-time loving friends: Janet mercer and Julie (Reid) Sharpe, both of Upper Island Cove. Special thanks to her niece Diane (Sharpe) Reid for her compassionate nursing care on Mary’s last day.


The Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from St. Peter’s Anglican Church & Cemetery, Upper Island Cove.


The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Slade’s Funeral Home, Cranes Road, Upper Island Cove on: Thursday: 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M., Friday: 10:30 A.M.-12 Noon, 2-5 P.M. & 7-9 P.M. and Saturday: 10:30 A.M.-1 P.M.


As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her loving memory to a charity of one’s choice.
