Shawn Ralston Peddle of Spaniard’s Bay passed away at Carbonear General Hospital on Monday, May 16, 2016. Shawnie, as he was lovingly called, was just 40 years old. Shawn battled much sickness, particularly in recent years and after this most recent bout which left him hospitalized for a week, he went to the loving arms of our Lord. He leaves to mourn his loving family: Parents: Ralston & Susan Peddle; Sister: Jody (Brad) Seymour; Nephews: Bronson, Brody & Parker Seymour; Grandmother: Susie Peddle; Aunts & Uncles: Bill (Shirley) Peddle, Madonna (John) Efford, Melinda (Don) Skinner, Barb Peddle, Joanne (Rod) Baker, Emmie Roberts, Sam (Joan) Roberts, Steve (Queenie), Bert (Maude) Roberts, Mary Roberts, Joyce (Ron) Churchill, Emmie Roberts, Joan Crane & Wilson (Tony) Roberts; Caregiver & Cousin: Kim (Doug) Cameron and a large circle of family & friends. Predeceased By: Grandparents: Joseph Peddle & Samuel (Marion) Roberts and Uncles: Greg Peddle, John Roberts, George Roberts, Clayton Roberts & Wallace Crane. Shawn’s many cousins loved him dearly. His friends and extended family will always remember him as he leaves an imprint on everyone’s heart. Shawn spent much time in Fort McMurray with his Sister and her family. He was a part of the Salvation Army START Program. Spending time with these peers who got joy from him was one of the happiest times in his short life.

Service Information:

The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, May 20, 2016 from Holy Redeemer Anglican Church, Spaniard’s Bay with interment to follow at St. Anne’s R.C. Cemetery, Spaniard’s Bay.

Visitation Times:

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, CRANES ROAD, UPPER ISLAND COVE, on Thursday: 10:30 A.M. -9 P.M.
